Michele De Martino

Michele de Martino, born in 1976, graduated with full marks and honors in mandolin and subsequently obtained, again with full marks and honors, the second level "concert branch" specialization at the Naples Conservatory with a concert entirely dedicated to J.S. Bach; moreover, in 2002, he obtained a diploma in piano.
He has given concerts in France, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, Spain, Greece, England, Luxembourg, Portugal, Albania, Poland, South Korea, USA, Argentina, Uruguay, Brazil, Egypt, Algeria, Qatar, Libya, Slovenia, Croatia and Serbia.
He has recorded for Raitrade, Brilliant Classics, Warner, Intra moenia and Sony music.
He has performed with various formations as a soloist such as: Orchestra of the Opera Theater of Rome, Orchestra of the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Orchestra of the Verdi Theater of Salerno, Orchestra of the Opera House of Cagliari, Janacek Orchestra of Prague etc. collaborating with directors such as R. Muti, Z. Metha, D. Oren.
Since 1996 he has collaborated with the S. Carlo Theater in Naples.
In the two-year period 2000 (Spain), 2001 (Italy) he was the "First Mandolin" of the European Youth Orchestra.
He currently teaches at the Benevento Conservatory of Music.
Since 2015 he has been regularly invited to give masterclasses at the International Mandolin Academy.
He is musical director of the Sorrento plectrum orchestra.
