Thanks to a scholarship awarded to him by the "De Sono Association for Music" he has perfected with G. Prencipe,F. Gulli,R. Ricci,S. Gheorghiu and H. Krebbers.for violin and with F. Gulli / E. Cavallo P. Amoal

In 1992 he was chosen by Riccardo Muti as First Violin Soloist of the Orchestra del Teatro alla Scala and the Orchestra Filarmonica della Scala. As a shoulder he played with the greatest conductors of the moment. 

In the same role he collaborated with the Accademia di Santa Cecilia,The Mozart Orchestra, the Baer

The statements in prestigious International Competitions such as the "Michelangelo Abbado" of Sondrio Hannover J, "Dong-A Seoul,"ARD" Munich,"Tchaikovsky"in Moscow, the"Premio Paganini"in Genoa, ICES Geneva led him soon to a brilliant career that has seen him perform as soloist with over a hundred orchestras, including the Orchestra of the Suisse Romande,the Bayrische Runfunkdi Munich) and Radio Stuttgart,Hannover Radio,the WienerKammerorchester,the Tokyo Symphony, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra,the RAI National Symphony and, on several occasions,the Filarmonica della Scala conducted by Riccardo Muti.

 

Founder of the Trio Trio Ohannes and First Violin of the La Scala Quartet, with whom he has performed all over the world also playing in prestigious halls such as the Cornegie Hall in Ne.

Professor of violin at the Accademia della Scala, he has held Masterclasses all over the world.

Francesco Manara is a juror of prestigious international competitions such as the " Paganini Prize of Genoa and the Concorso

The famous magazine "The Strad", which has reviewed him several times ,called him "an artist of remarkable sincerity and depth, ready to face the most important stages in the world".

He plays a Nicola Amati from 1665.
