Visenescu
Emil Visenescu – is a solo clarinet player of the George Enescu Philharmonic Orchestra and clarinet teacher at the National Music University Bucharest. After he studied in Romania with Gheorghe Vlad, Ion Cudalbu and Valeriu Barbuceanu, he continued to develop his musical skills abroad with Walter Boeykens, Karl Leister, Joseph Balogh and Stefan Korody-Kreutzer. Between 2000 and 2002 he completed his studies with a soloist diploma by the Hochschule fur Musik und Theater Bern- Switzerland, under the guidance of Ernesto Molinari.
Emil Visenescu won several international competitions:
Aurelian Octav Popa International Competition – (Constanza – Romania) 1995, Jeunesse Musicales Internaţional Competition – Bucharest (Romania) 1996, Martha Moser Competition - Biel (Swizerland) 2001 and Tschumi Musik Preis - Bern (Swizerland) 2002. He was invited as member of the Jury to the Gheorghe Dima International Competition – Cluj (Romania), Jeunesses Musicales International Competition – Bucharest (Romania) and Sava Dimitrov International Competition – Sofia, (Bulgaria).
He was invited to teach into the International Summer Course in – Bistriţa (Romania), Icon Arts International Summer Course – Cisnădie (Romania, the Sighișoara Music Academie, the Akademica Kronstat International Summer Course Brasov(Romania), the Academy of Music and Dance - Jerusalim (Israel), Oldenburg University (Germany), Metric International Improvisation Course – Tallin – (Estonia) and at ZHdK – Zurich(Swizerland).
He had solo clarinet recitals at the Academy of Music and Dance - Jerusalem and Salon d’Or Hotel Behague in Paris, The International Week for Contemporary Music in Bucharest, the Meridian Festival, the WorldNew Music Days and during the Internaţional George Enescu Music Festival.

Musicians who added a significant contribution to his artistic development are Angelo Clemente, Romeo Tudorache and Karl Leister. His artistic collaboration with Karl Leister, Fabio Bidini, Yuri Gandelsman, Paolo Pollastri, Francesco Pomarico, Ovidiu Balan, Riccardo Ceni, Ivano Battiston, Fabio Di Cásola, Victoria Soames Samek, Aurelian Octav Popa, Mark Clinton, Karen Becker, Angelo Inglese, Landon Baumgard, Patrick Messina, Enesco Quartet (Paris) and Giuliano Mazzoccante is remarkable.
Winner of over thirty prizes in important national and international soloist and chamber music competitions. As an artist, he has performed in concerts held in Europe, Far East and USA.
As a soloist, he has collaborated with various orchestras among which: Kiev RTV Festival Orchestra, Philharmonic Orchestra “George Enescu” of Bucarest, Orchestra Internazionale d’Italia, Orchestra Milano Classica, Orchestra of the Bologna Theater, Orquesta Sinfónica de Venezuela (Caracas), Mersin Opera and Ballet State Orchestra (Turkey), Kazakhstan State Academic Symphony Orchestra (Almaty), Portuguese Navy Band (Lisbon) and Kyiv Virtuosi Orchestra (Malta). He inaugurated with a Recital the prestigious 39th international convention "ClarinetFest ®" in the Lied Center for the Performing Arts in Lincoln, Nebraska USA and was member of the jury ICA Young Artist Competition and I.C.A. High School Solo Competition.
