The Chieti Classica Festival continued on 5 July with another inspiring day of masterclasses, bringing together young musicians, distinguished professors, and music lovers from across the region.
The Young Chieti Classica programme continued under the guidance of Maestro Yuri Sablone and Maestro Cristiano D'Urbano, who worked closely with their students on refining technique, musical interpretation, and artistic expression. Throughout the day, participants benefited from individual coaching and invaluable professional advice in an atmosphere of enthusiasm and dedication.
Clarinet masterclasses led by Maestro Antonio Tinelli and Maestro Emil Visenescu added another vibrant dimension to the festival. In addition to the classroom sessions, the professors and their students brought music into the heart of the city, performing outdoors and delighting passers-by with live performances. The open-air music created a festive atmosphere, allowing the local community to share in the festival and enjoy the beauty of classical music beyond the concert hall.
Meanwhile, the vocal programme offered students a unique educational opportunity through a special lecture delivered by a phoniatric specialist, who introduced participants to the science of the voice. The session explored vocal anatomy, healthy singing techniques, and practical strategies for preserving and protecting the voice throughout a professional career, providing valuable knowledge for aspiring singers.
With its combination of outstanding artistic instruction, public performances, and interdisciplinary learning, Chieti Classica 2026 continues to offer participants a rich and inspiring experience, celebrating both musical excellence and the importance of sharing music with the wider community.
