On the evening of 8 July, the historic centre of Chieti came alive with the Parade of the Musicians and Flag Throwers of Bucchianico and the Medieval Costume Procession, organised by the Associazione Teate Nostra.
The city's main square was filled with spectators as residents and visitors gathered to enjoy the colourful spectacle. The impressive flag-throwing displays, the music, and the beautifully crafted medieval costumes transformed the heart of Chieti into a vibrant celebration of its history and traditions. Throughout the performance, the audience responded with enthusiastic applause and cheers, creating an atmosphere of genuine festivity.
The evening concluded with a joyful moment of shared celebration as the medieval dancers invited the public to join them. The response was extraordinary: people of all ages stepped into the square, and what began as a performance became a community celebration, with what seemed like half the city dancing together under the summer sky.
It was a memorable night that perfectly captured the spirit of Chieti Classica—bringing together music, culture, history, and the local community in a celebration that everyone could share.
